Hello, I am Dr. Lee Ji-young, Director of OLARA Clinic in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul. I have practised aesthetic dermatology for more than ten years, but before the title of doctor, I am a mother and a woman in my forties. After marriage and children my own skin changed noticeably, and each time I looked in the mirror I met a face that was not quite the one I remembered. That change was never only about appearance — it affected how I felt and how sure of myself I was. Whenever I listen to my patients, I often find my own story in theirs. “I don't want it to be obvious that I've had something done,” “I'd just like to look a little younger than before,” “I'm tired of being told I look tired.” Because I understand these feelings so well, I wanted to build a clinic where women of my own generation could feel at ease.
